Chapter Philanthropy

Phi Mu is dedicated to service and our sisters in Kappa Upsilon work diligently to support our local philanthropies. Our local philanthropies are the Community Helping Place and The Lumpkin County Humane Society.

The Community Helping Place
CHP is a food bank, free health clinic, and a thrift store. We assist at the Community Helping Place by donating food to the food bank and by giving our time sorting items in the thrift store and the food bank.

TLC Humane Society
Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Humane Society, TLC, was founded in 1977 and is the only no-kill shelter in Dahlonega. Our sisters volunteer at TLC by walking the dogs, helping sort treats and toys, and playing with the animals. Sometimes we even adopt!

We donate the proceeds from our Gold Rush booth and other various fundraisers to the Community Helping Place and TLC Humane Society. Kappa Upsilon loves working with both of these philanthropies. We always try to fulfill our creed by lending to those less fortunate a helping hand.
