The Kappa Upsilon Story
The Kappa Upsilon Chapter at North Georgia College and State University was chartered in February 3, 1973 from the three-year-old local sorority, Sigma Lambda Phi. There were 41 founding members. Currently, Kappa Upsilon has 116 members.
The sorority’s purposes are to develop in its members a spirit of service, helpfulness and co-operation in conjunction with their social and intellectual development – to develop each individual to their greatest potential. Phi Mu holds high standard of scholarship and conduct. It gives social training, experience in living and working together, and opportunities for leadership, fun, fellowship and lasting friendships.
